I give notice that the rules revision meeting will be held on Monday, 22nd May, 2023 at the Wolds pub (West Bridgford venue) at 7:30 pm.
Nick London, on behalf of the LMC, has set out below the proposals for the league next year. If anyone wishes to alter those proposals, and therefore wishes to submit a change to the league rules, they need to set out their proposal for the change.
Any submitted proposals need to include a name of a proposer and seconder and, if possible, a reference to the league rule they wish to change.
Any proposals will need to be submitted to me by midnight on the 30th April 2023. I will need to provide all proposals to everyone on the 1st May so no proposals will be allowed after that time.
Should no proposals for alterations be received there will be no meeting. Should there be a meeting, I remind everyone of the voting rules which can be found on the website here
Statement by League Management Committee
The modified league rules that have been in operation for the season 2022-23 (and the year before) were agreed as a temporary expedient to deal with abnormal circumstances during the post-pandemic period.
LMC regards these circumstances as no longer applying sufficiently to warrant modifications for the 2023-24 season.
This means that the standard league rules, as agreed for the 2019-20 season and as published on the NCA website, will apply by default for the league season starting in September 2023.
Any club wishing to propose a change or variance to those rules must submit them in writing to the general Secretary (Graham Neil) by the deadline (30 April 2023).
Please ensure you and your club members understand this as it makes a major difference compared with the current season’s conduct.
The LMC also has rules changes to propose, which will be circulated later this week.
